Division of Outbreak Investigation


The Division of Outbreak Investigations promotes the health of Maryland by responding to increases in communicable diseases. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) works concurrently with the Local Health Departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent illness and to promote healthy habits. For questions regarding a disease, or if you need to report an outbreak, please contact your local health department.
